The ANA Profile Test is a blood test used to detect antinuclear antibodies (ANA), which are antibodies that react against components of the body's own cells.
This test helps healthcare professionals investigate suspected autoimmune disorders, particularly connective tissue diseases such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren’s syndrome, and mixed connective tissue disease.
Detects antinuclear antibodies in the blood.
Supports the investigation of autoimmune conditions.
Helps evaluate suspected Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
May assist in assessing Sjögren’s syndrome and other connective tissue disorders.
Helps guide further autoimmune investigations when clinically indicated.

A positive ANA result does not automatically confirm an autoimmune disease. ANA may also be detected in some healthy individuals and other medical conditions. Results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history, and additional investigations.
Reporting Time: To be confirmed by the laboratory.
Please confirm test availability and sample collection requirements with the laboratory before booking.
Laboratory Note: Confirm which specific antibodies and tests are included in the ANA Profile, as the panel composition may vary between laboratories.
