The ANCA-C Test is a blood test used to detect cytoplasmic anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies. These antibodies target components of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell.
This test supports the investigation of certain autoimmune conditions, particularly small-vessel vasculitis, including Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA).
Detects cytoplasmic ANCA (c-ANCA) antibodies.
Supports the investigation of autoimmune-related blood vessel inflammation.
Helps evaluate suspected Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA).
May assist in investigating certain kidney and respiratory tract conditions.
Supports further clinical assessment alongside other antibody tests.
Sample Type: Clotted Blood or Serum
Required Quantity: 2–3 ml

Fasting is generally not required unless instructed by your doctor or laboratory.
Inform your healthcare provider about medications and existing medical conditions.
Follow any specific sample collection instructions provided by the laboratory.
A positive c-ANCA result does not independently confirm vasculitis or any specific autoimmune disease. Results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history, imaging, kidney function tests, and other investigations. Additional testing, such as PR3-ANCA and MPO-ANCA, may be recommended.
Reporting Time: To be confirmed by the laboratory.
Please confirm test availability and sample collection requirements with the laboratory before booking.
