Avodart 0.5mg Capsules

Product Overview

Avodart 0.5mg Capsules are a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland in men, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). These capsules contain the active ingredient Dutasteride, which helps to shrink the prostate gland and improve urinary symptoms associated with BPH.

Key Benefits

- Shrinks the prostate gland

- Improves urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, difficulty starting urination, and weak urine flow

- Reduces the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for prostate surgery

How It Works

Dutasteride, the active ingredient in Avodart, works by inhibiting the production of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body. DHT is responsible for enlarging the prostate gland, leading to symptoms of BPH. By blocking the action of DHT, Dutasteride helps to reduce the size of the prostate gland and relieve urinary symptoms.
